The 26th international congress of Avicenna Research Institute (ARI) “Insights into Infertility Management: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Challenges, and Prospects” will be held from December 11-13, 2024 at Shahid Beheshti University International Conference Center.

The purpose of the congress is to create a platform for a magnificent event featuring renowned national and international scientists and specialists. It will focus on presenting new findings, exchanging cutting-edge discoveries, and sharing subspecialty experiences in the use of artificial intelligence for infertility treatment and its various aspects.

The congress will be held to analyze and scrutinize the latest achievements and AI-based techniques in the field of infertility treatment. It provides a unique opportunity to exchange experience and knowledge especially in an era where artificial intelligence is driving significant changes in healthcare and medical systems. Given the intricate algorithms of artificial intelligence, it enhances therapeutic and diagnostic processes. The technology helps in accurate diagnosis, optimization of treatment protocols, improved prognoses, and increased success rates in infertility treatments.
A wide range of diverse topics will be discussed in the event, including the role of artificial intelligence in diagnosis and treatment, counseling for selecting the most effective treatment methods, medical ethics in monitoring treatments, and the implications of AI in research. Specific areas of focus will include AI's role in predicting and diagnosing infertility related to genetic diseases, personalized ovulation stimulation protocols, selection of best eggs, sperm, and embryos for treatment, managing recurrent miscarriages, and developing algorithms for diagnosing and treating endometriosis.

About Avicenna Research Institute

Avicenna Research Institute embarked on its journey in 1998 as a research center, and throughout its existence, it has remained devoted to various aspects of fertility. These include immunology, genetics, infections and reproduction, as well as the ethical and legal dimensions of fertility. Presently, Avicenna Research Institute comprises three research centers: the Reproductive Biotechnology Research Center (RBRC), the Nanobiotechnology Research Center (NRC), the Monoclonal Antibody Research Center (MARC), along with a specialized reproductive immunology research center.

About Avicenna Fertility Center
In addition, in 2003, the Avicenna Fertility Center was established as a direct outcome of groundbreaking research and innovative advancements in the field. With its eight clinics, the Avicenna Fertility Center possesses the capacity to deliver comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services, positioning itself as a distinguished referral center for infertility treatment both nationwide and in the region.
Avicenna Fertility Center is recognized as a distinguished and advanced center in the country and region in the field of treatment of infertility and recurrent miscarriage which initiated its activities by establishment of 4 clinics in 2003 with joint collaboration of ART department of USHCL University of Germany. Gradually, other specialized clinics, including endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain and advanced laparoscopy were also launched in this center.
The establishment of the Endometriosis Clinic commenced in 2011, with a dedicated focus on developing protocols, arranging suitable facilities, and acquiring the necessary equipment for the endometriosis operating room. Concurrently, efforts were made to recruit Advanced Endometriosis Surgery and Laparoscopy fellows. In 2012, the clinic officially commenced its operations, marking a significant milestone. Between 2014 and 2017, the Endometriosis Clinic became a proud member of the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE), becoming the first center outside of England among a network of forty centers specializing in endometriosis laparoscopy. In 2016, the center was recognized as the most active surgery center among the numerous BSGE affiliated centers. This achievement solidified the clinic's reputation for excellence in the field. Since its establishment until 2021, the Endometriosis Clinic has provided care to over 20,000 endometriosis patients. Notably, the clinic has successfully performed 1565 endometriosis laparoscopies, showcasing its expertise and dedication to effective surgical interventions.
